Successful Coffee Morning at John Chilton School: Engaging Parents with the Sitting Service Workshop
On January 31, 2025, John Chilton School’s Bengarth Site hosted a successful coffee morning that attracted a fantastic turnout of parents eager to connect with school staff and learn about valuable resources. The highlight of the event was a workshop on the Sitting Service, led by Ela Tureczek, the Deputy Team Manager from Family Link and Sitting Service. Her expertise added significant value, providing parents with essential insights into the short breaks system, including the application process, eligibility criteria, and available in-home sitting services.
Parents actively engaged in the workshop, leading to meaningful discussions on how to apply for short breaks for their children. This exchange of ideas fostered a supportive environment, encouraging open dialogue among attendees. The collaborative atmosphere allowed parents to share experiences and strategies, enhancing their understanding of available support services.
To conclude the workshop, there was a dedicated question-and-answer session, offering parents the opportunity to interact directly with Ela.
