On 26th March, our school community came together in a joyful celebration of Eid, filled with dancing, learning, and togetherness across both sites.
At Bengarth, the morning was brimming with excitement and the highlight of the morning was a high energy Zumba session led by Tee, a talented instructor who is also of the Muslim faith.
Each class enjoyed their own dance session with Tee, who brought the festive spirit alive with uplifting music and energising moves. Pupils absolutely loved the sessions—there was laughter, rhythm, and a real sense of joy throughout.
Even better, later in the morning ,pupils took the lead themselves, delivering their own mini-dance workshops and teaching friends some of their favourite moves. It was a fantastic display of confidence, teamwork, and creativity.
Over at Orchard, the celebrations continued with classes swapping rooms to take part in a variety of Eid themed activities. From creative crafts to cooking, pupils embraced the spirit of the occasion and learned more about the importance of Eid in a hands on, memorable way.
Later in the day, Orchard opened its doors to parents and families, who were warmly welcomed into classrooms to celebrate Eid alongside their children. The turnout was wonderful—so many parents came to share this special moment, and we are truly grateful for the love and community spirit that filled the school.
But the festivities didn’t stop there! Tee continued spreading joy by visiting Orchard, this time delivering a lively Zumba session for John Chilton and Wood End Primary staff—an energising way to end the celebrations with plenty of smiles and lots of laughter, keeping the festive atmosphere alive across our whole community.
