On 30 April, John Chilton celebrated International Day with a vibrant and exciting programme of activities. Pupils explored music from around the world and embraced the rich diversity within our school community.
Pupils and staff came dressed in traditional clothing that reflected their own cultures or represented a country of their choice, creating a colourful and welcoming atmosphere throughout the school.
The whole school experienced the day through a Dhol Drumming workshop. During assembly, pupils listened to a professional musician play the Dhol, learning about the instrument and its cultural significance. The celebration continued in interactive workshops, where pupils had great fun playing the drums themselves, showing enthusiasm and delight as they learned new rhythms.
International Day was a joyful and memorable experience for everyone involved.
