Our Phase 3 students recently enjoyed an engaging and interactive First Aid Workshop delivered by Carrie Reid from the British Red Cross.
The workshop provided students with the opportunity to learn valuable first aid skills through practical activities, real-life examples and hands-on resources. Throughout the session, pupils explored how to respond to different situations, help others in an emergency, and most importantly, how to keep themselves safe while offering support.
Carrie delivered the workshop in a fun, inclusive, and highly engaging way. She used a range of props and realistic scenarios to bring the learning to life, helping students to understand key first aid concepts and build confidence in applying their knowledge.
It was fantastic to see our students so actively involved throughout the session. They demonstrated excellent listening skills, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in learning how they can help others in everyday situations.
The workshop not only developed students’ understanding of first aid but also encouraged independence, communication, and responsibility—important skills both in school and within the wider community.
